FacialNevus

A facial nevus is a type of nevus, or mole, that is located on the face. It can be present at birth or can develop later in life. Facial nevi can vary in size, shape, and color, and may be flat or raised.

Facial nevi can be classified into different types based on their characteristics. For example, a café-au-lait macule is a type of facial nevus that is light brown in color and may be oval or irregular in shape. A congenital melanocytic nevus is a type of facial nevus that is present at birth and is usually dark brown or black in color.

Facial nevi can be of cosmetic concern, particularly if they are large or noticeable. In some cases, facial nevi may also be associated with underlying medical conditions, such as neurofibromatosis. Treatment options for facial nevi include surgical removal, laser therapy, or camouflage techniques. It is important to consult a dermatologist or other healthcare provider for proper evaluation and management of facial nevi.
